The Gardant Group is an all-round credit manager, with state-of-the-art tools, professionals and IT architecture, built on decades of experience as a master and special servicer.

The Gardant Group’s servicing infrastructure is rated by both S&P and Fitch.

Master Servicing

Gardant, with its subsidiary Master Gardant, is authorised to carry out servicing activities as provided for by Law 130/99, and offers an integrated Servicer solution within credit securitisation transactions, both private and public, related to different asset classes, also with state guarantee (GACS).

The Master Servicer is responsible for regulatory tasks, delegating to a third party, the sub-servicer or special servicer, the operational activity of credit management.

Thanks to a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, Master Gardant provides the entire chain of services for securitisation transactions, such as SPVs set-up (ex Law 130/99), corporate servicer, calculation agent, RON, monitoring agent, paying agent and cash manager.

Special Servicing

Gardant, with its subsidiaries Special Gardant, Gardant Liberty Servicing and Gardant Bridge Servicing, carries out judicial and extrajudicial recovery of impaired loans secured by mortgages and unsecured loans, both bank and leasing, with a dedicated internal team and a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.

In support of its special servicing activities, Special Gardant manages ReoCo, providing both advisory services for the identification of investment opportunities and asset management services on the repossessed assets.


Over the years we have developed an origination, underwriting and portfolio management infrastructure dedicated to the impaired and illiquid loans sector in Italy. As a result, we have acquired portfolios of loans classified as both NPLs and UTPs for over EUR 1 billion in recent years.

Team experience and information database will be at the service of institutional investors as part of the Asset Management activity carried out by Gardant Investor SGR.
